Amy's family nominates Rosa Aguilar, who cared for Amy at an adult day care after her diagnosis with Niemann Pick disease. Rosa attended physical therapy sessions with Amy, supported her through a clinical trial, and took her to a Reba McEntire concert and to her favorite restaurants on weekends. Rosa and her husband treated Amy like part of their own family, and continued visiting her with cards and gifts after Amy moved to a nursing home. The family calls Rosa a hero to Amy and to all of them.
